Fragments of Flight

A face emerges from broken quiet
not whole, not lost,
but caught somewhere in between.

Wings unfold where sight once lived,
a bird suspended in the fragile space
between seeing and becoming.
It does not hide her vision
it transforms it.

Around her, the world fractures
pixels of memory dissolving,
edges trembling like thoughts
too heavy to remain still.

Yet within the distortion,
there is a strange clarity
as if freedom is not in escape,
but in surrender to the unraveling.

She does not resist the breaking
she carries it,
like wings growing through silence,
learning, at last,
how to fly through herself.
