The Girl Who Wanted the Red Dragonfly

Aarodengillum Mindande and it made me think a lot about my mother.

My mother is happier now, she says. She doesn’t have to answer questions she found uncomfortable. Like” what are your hobbies? ” or “Who do you want to become?” She hated how she was expected to be ‘interesting’.
She didn’t sing nor dance. Never painted nor wrote. Hated sports as well as the books. Her desire was to catch the red dragonfly some day.
She’s happy that now such questions aren’t asked. And she doesn’t have to explain that her hobbies are playing candy crush and pranking my friends and her goal is to catch the red dragonfly some day.
She is interesting.
